Class Description:
This course is meticulously crafted by a mentor who has been deeply involved in the field of painting for more than ten years. With many years of oil painting/acrylic painting experience, he will help you unlock the unique expressiveness of the acrylic medium. The course focuses on **still life and landscape**, integrating the precise observation of realism and the light and color language of impressionism. From Monet's hazy light and shadow to Van Gogh's passionate brushstrokes, we will reconstruct the poetic nature of nature and human culture on the canvas. Each weekly course emphasizes practice: from color mixing techniques and composition to the creation of a complete work, gradually cultivating independent artistic expression.

**Artistic Resume**
Teacher Leon, who has been fond of painting since childhood, created ink paintings and watercolor paintings in his early years. In recent years, he has focused on oil painting and acrylic painting, and is good at still life and landscape subjects. He often goes to art museums to study and is greatly influenced by realism and impressionism. He particularly admires Van Gogh and Monet. He pursues the fusion of realism and impressionism, and explores the dynamic expression of color in delicate portrayal.

LLeyan is a high school senior at Acton-Boxborough Regional High School. She's worked with acrylic paint for the last 4 years, and had received state-level recognition from Scholastic�s Art & Writing Awards.
