Class Description:
The focus of this class is to teach students how to express their creativity through interesting story composition, and help students become more confident in their writing and artistic abilities. With emphasis on fun and introspective topics, the instructor will inspire students' writing interest throughout the class.
Students will first create and develop their own stories using their wildest imagination and creativity through verbal story-telling in class. After that, students will begin to write their own short stories chapter by chapter, guided by the instructor. This class is for any aspiring young writer with a story to tell!

Deliverable: By the completion of the class, each student will have written a chapter book based on the story they create.
Instructor: Jocelyn Wu
Jocelyn Wu is a junior attending Acton-Boxborough Regional High School who is very passionate about writing and literature. She wrote her first chapter book when she was in fifth grade and published it on Amazon Kindle. In 2025, she won a Gold Key Award in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, a prestigious national writing competition for high school students in the U.S. and Canada.
Currently, Jocelyn is a writing editor and frequent contributor to the high school literary magazine, Window Seat, and a member of and contributor to the high school newspaper, Spectrum. She is passionate about teaching young students to write and developing interest in writing at an early age, believing that writing is one of the fundamental skills that benefits a person for life.
Jocelyn has accumulated meaningful teaching experience with young students and currently teaches speech and debate at Lumos Debate Academy.
